Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies Is Free To Play This Week

You can play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode for free for a whole week starting Thursday, January 14, and ending on Thursday, January 21.

This’ll be the first time the Treyarch-made Zombies mode is ever offered for free. The freebie will be available to players on all platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, and PC) and signing up is as simple as going to your favorite platform’s store and searching for ‘Zombies Free Access’.

The free access period will include three games modes:

• Die Maschine, a round-based Zombies experience that sees your team trying to survive consecutively larger waves of zombies
• Cranked, which ups the ante by adding a timer to the mix — if it hits zero, you’ll explode!
• Onslaught, a new two-player mode that adds an additional orb mechanic, which confines you to a given area on the map.

The Onslaught mode, sadly, is exclusive to PlayStation.

The Call of Duty team was also quick to point out that if you enjoyed your time with this free event and want to buy the full game, all your progress will be carried over upon purchase.
