As you’d expect, alongside its newest generation of consoles, Microsoft also launched a revised version of the Xbox wireless controller last year. While it’s not very different from the previous generation controller, that’s not necessarily a bad thing because the Xbox One controller was a pretty good offering, to begin with.
So, while not much has changed in terms of the controller’s design, Microsoft is looking to differentiate its new controller with aesthetics. To that end, the company this week launched a new variant of the gamepad with a stunning red-and-white design that just screams ‘gamer!’ It’s also much better looking than the three other options available at launch — Color Black, Robot White, and Shock Blue — if I do say so myself.
Dubbed ‘Pulse Red,’ the new color variant is now available for pre-order at Best Buy for $65. The controller’s official release date is listed as 18 February on the website, which is likely when buyers will start receiving their new controllers.
If you’re looking to save some money, though, you can also take a look at the Shock Blue model, which is currently available at a discounted price of $54.99, while both the Carbon Black and Robot White variants are available for only $49.99.
