0Following the Western pre-registration for NieR Reincarnation on Android and iOS, players now have a release date to look forward to. Square-Enix released an official trailer for the mobile game with IGN. The trailer shows off some of the game’s narrative and action gameplay, set in hauntingly beautiful environments reminiscent of the previous NieR games. Alongside the trailer, Square-Enix also unveiled the release date for NieR Reincarnation – July 24.
Developed by Applibot and published by Square-Enix, NieR Reincarnation looks to be a continuation of the series staples, this time on mobile devices. The story features a young girl who wakes up in an unknown land, guided forth by a benevolent ghost. NieR Creative Director Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe are part of the project, contributing their vision and sound for NieR Reincarnation, keeping the mobile title as close to the console and PC instalments of the franchise.
NieR Reincarnation will be free-to-play on Android and iOS. Pre-registration for the game is still open on NieR Reincarnation’s official website. Pre-registering will get you some in-game currency and other bonuses depending on how many other players sign up. Sign up while you can before the official Western launch date on July 24.
