Starting today, PlayStation Now gets a few new games for August. The streaming service adds two recent RPG classics, NieR: Automata and Undertale, along with the sci-fi parkour adventure Ghostrunner. This time around, NieR: Automata will only be on the platform for a couple of months. Undertale and Ghostrunner look to be permanent additions, but these are all subject to change.
Undertale originally released in 2015 and went on to become a smash hit. Plenty of people have heard of the game, even if they haven’t played it themselves. This indie RPG takes plenty of inspiration from older turn-based classics. Undertale is available for a variety of consoles and platforms by now. But if you haven’t managed to play this one yet, and you have access to PlayStation Now, then you can try it out at any time.
Ghostrunner is a fast-paced, science-fiction parkour adventure game. Dodging bullets, slicing enemies with katanas, and escaping imminent death are all part of the action. Ghostrunner arrives to PlayStation Now after releasing on consoles and PC in October 2020.
Finally, NieR: Automata joins the PlayStation Now library for a limited time only. PlatinumGames’ signature action combat and Square-Enix’s knack for storytelling merge together for an unforgettable experience. You’ll have until November 1, 2021 to try this one out until it’s no longer available. If you happen to enjoy it, check out NieR Replicant, the recently-remade prequel to Automata, or take a look at NieR Reincarnation, the continuation of the series for Android and iOS.
These are all the games newly-added for August. We’re not getting a healthy addition of smaller titles this month. Maybe next month will have a few more offerings to enjoy aside from the usual heavy-hitters.
