Microsoft released their list of free games for Xbox Live Gold next month, October 2021. Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members get to pick up these games for free, but for a limited time. Check out the list below for the new games, what they’re about, and how long they’ll be up for grabs.

  • Aaero (Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S – $14.99 USD ERP) is a rhythm shooting game on rails. You trace ribbons of light while gliding through beautiful environments, culminating in tough boss battles. The varied licensed music soundtrack keeps the momentum going as you play, featuring tracks from Flux Pavilion, Neosignal, The Prototypes, Noisia, and more. Aaero is available from October 1 through October 31.
  • Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (Xbox 360 backward compatible – $14.99 USD ERP) is a continuation of the classic horror platformer series. Slay vampires with up to six other players through co-op mode, jumping your way to defeat Dracula once and for all. Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is available from October 1 through October 15.
  • Hover (Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S – $24.99 USD ERP) is a fast-paced, futuristic parkour game that can be played solo or via multiplayer. You and your group of rebels pull off tricks and combos mid-air in the open world, armed with powerful hi-tech gadgets. Hover is available from October 16 through November 15.
  • Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (Xbox 360 backward compatible – $19.99 USD ERP) is from another classic horror series. Claire Redfield infiltrates the Umbrella Corporation in Paris, searching for her lost brother while fending off hordes of zombies. Resident Evil Code: Veronica X is available from October 16 to October 31.
